Nils Holger Moormann (*1953) encountered design quite by accident in 1980. First, he sold furniture to retailers before he presented the first products from his own collection at the Cologne Furniture Fair in the mid 1980s. Since that time, he has been counted among the most successful furniture publishers in Germany and employs a staff of 20 today. The Moormann Company, founded in 1992, has 98 % of its furniture manufactured in Chiemgau in Bavaria, including furniture designed by such famous designers as Axel Kufus or Konstantin Grcic. The furniture collection has already received many international design awards.
